Marvelous Mrs. Maisel party

This theme is great for a milestone birthday for someone who loves the hit Amazon show. You can also use the same theme for a bridal shower or bachelorette party.

A midcentury themed party is a must for the dress code! Ask guests to channel their best Midge Maisel and Lenny Bruce.

Toast & activity ideas

A core belief here at Lillie Gathers is that the most instagrammable, well-decorated party is empty without meaningful conversation. The job of the host is to curate an entire experience. We love Priya Parker’s concept of “15 Toasts” and try to do a version of it at every gathering we throw. The basic concept is that by the end of the night, each guest has to give a toast to a theme set by the host.

  • Why I love you - each person shares one story that best conveys why they love the bride / birthday person

  • New beginnings - each person shares a story from their personal life about a time they entered a new beginning (best for a bridal shower or a milestone birthday)

  • To happy days - each person shares a story of their happiest day and wishes happy days to the bride/birthday person

  • Bring your best joke - In addition to the above prompts which are more sentimntal about the birthday person, we think it’d be so fun to follow the Mrs. Maisel theme and have everyone say one joke or one roast. At the end of the party, you will have had a whole standup routine.
